  14. I have a Power Computing XL external high density floppy drive which works 
  15. fine on low density and works mostly on high density.  It always fails 
  16. (reading, writing, or formatting) somewhere on the last 10 tracks of the 
  17. drive.  Consequently I can read/write with some reliability but cannot 
  18. format.
  19.  
  20. I am searching for hints on what could be wrong or information on how to 
  21. contact the manufacterer.  (The phone number in the manual is out of 
  22. service.)

  24. I am using an Amiga 2000HD with Workbench 2.04 and a Derringer 030 
  25. accelerator.  I have tried HDFixer,  HighDensityPatch,  setpatch 37.38,
  26. and a borrowed Workbench 2.1.  All to no avail.  The shop that sold it to 
  27. me swears that it works on their Amiga3000 with Workbench 2.1, but cannot 
  28. show me because they no longer support Amiga.
