- I have a Power Computing XL external high density floppy drive which works
- fine on low density and works mostly on high density. It always fails
- (reading, writing, or formatting) somewhere on the last 10 tracks of the
- drive. Consequently I can read/write with some reliability but cannot
- format.
-
- I am searching for hints on what could be wrong or information on how to
- contact the manufacterer. (The phone number in the manual is out of
- service.)
-
- I am using an Amiga 2000HD with Workbench 2.04 and a Derringer 030
- accelerator. I have tried HDFixer, HighDensityPatch, setpatch 37.38,
- and a borrowed Workbench 2.1. All to no avail. The shop that sold it to
- me swears that it works on their Amiga3000 with Workbench 2.1, but cannot
- show me because they no longer support Amiga.
